As a Reiki Master and practitioner, I am available for Reiki sessions most Sunday, and some Monday afternoons. Please set aside 60 minutes for the session, which will include pre-session intake form and discussion, as well as live music/sound resonance.
At this time I am donating my Reiki services to Wellness and Leadership Inc (WLI) programmes, so please send funds directly to [email protected] by e transfer. WLI is a not-for-profit corporation in Alberta and will supply you with a receipt if you wish. However, WLI is not a registered charity, and cannot offer a charitable tax receipt.
WLI offers many options - email me and we'll sort it out! Right now I'm offering in kind trade of love infused meals, or give generously to support WLI ongoing programmes! Reiki session fees range from $85-$120 per hour.

"I was privileged to have a few reiki sessions this summer with Gwen Klassen. She carries an aura of caring and nurturing those who know her. The sessions were peaceful and soothing. She began by just talking with me, which brought a personal level to the experience. After I was laying down, my body was washed over and through with the beautiful sound of her playing flute for 5 minutes. So amazing, the music just fills your soul! Then the calm and warm touch of her hands on different areas of my body brought my thoughts to a halt and I just relaxed into the experience. into almost a form of meditation. I went into the session with Gwen with a healthy sense of curiosity, but also skepticism. I deliberately avoided reading too much beforehand about what Reiki was so that I was able to go into the experience as open-minded/without prejudice as possible. The session itself was comfortable and pleasant. Gwen created what felt like a very safe space.
“Intensely relaxing” is the best way I can describe the session itself. Extreme relaxation. For me, the most interesting part of it all was how I felt after the session. It is difficult to articulate. I just felt really ‘light’. ‘Light-headed’ but also ‘light-bodied’. Gwen gave me a glass of water and I took a few minutes to ‘collect myself’. I probably should have taken a little longer. Driving the car home, my arms felt strange on the steering wheel. I didn’t feel 100% ‘present’ – as though I was kind of watching the traffic instead of being part of it (probably should have waited a little before driving…)...I was still feeling ‘light and tingly’ 8 hours after the session.
What I find interesting about my reaction is that it was not what I had expected (so in that sense – not a placebo effect). I had been going through a lot of family ‘stuff’ at the time, and I had expected a more emotional response. Which didn’t really happen – it was more a physical experience. I don’t know what I would compare it to, but it felt great – won't be my last Reiki experience." JJ.N

At the beginning of each session, Gwen asks if there are areas I am especially having difficulty with that she should focus on. Once I am on the table, Gwen plays flute, which is beautiful and soothing and begins the time of relaxation. Her touch brings warm, comforting, healing energy. After each Rieki session, Gwen takes time to talk through the experience, including helping process thoughts and emotions that arise. I was working through grief at the time of my sessions, which Gwen helped me with. The benefits of the sessions extend physically, mentally, and emotionally. Thank-you, Gwen! " MKH
