*Ascending Ashes, Colleen Athparia 2021 - Gwen, Colleen (5')
Composed for Colleen's dear friend, artist Harry Kiyooka (1928 – 2022), Alberta born and raised educator, curator, collector, mentor, activist, administrator and philanthropist. Co-Founder of the Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre, Professor Emeritus of Art; University of Calgary, Medal of Confederation recipient for his contribution to the community in establishing the Triangle Gallery of Visual Arts (now Contemporary Calgary)

Liezel Kruger doesn't have a website, here is her short bio
Liezel Kruger first discovered her joy and drive for composition soon after moving to Canada from her home in South Africa in November, 2017. Since then, she has strove forward in her studies at the University of Calgary, and is just a few months away from finally earning her Bachelors in Music, majoring in Composition. Throughout her degree she has not only written a wide variety of pieces for her peers, for different instruments, but has specifically focussed on honing in her ability to write for flute, orchestra, and even explore the possibility of electronic music as of late. Being on the precipice of formally starting her career as a composer, outside of any educational institute, she is excited and ready for all the possible opportunities she may encounter in the future, and looks forward to the growth and connection she’ll acquire with it.
